Description

Abstract of the Disclosure A supporting floor or roof element of sandwich construction comprising two spaced-apart parallel surface plates (1, 2) and a plurality of web plates (3) positioned between said surface plates and a core of a foamed plastics material (4) filling the spaces between said plates. Between the longitudinal edge of each web plate and the inner surface of each surface plate is formed a slit (5) into which the foamed plastics material filling said spaces has penetrated and, upon hardening , formed a continuous adhesive layer filling said slit, said adhesive layer fastening said web plate to the corresponding surface plate. The longitudinal edges (3a) of the web plates and/or the inner surfaces of the surface plates are provided with projections (7) or grooves for supporting the web plates in place with respect to the surface plates. (Fig. 1)
