A structural support (26) for a frame or a grid-like construction for the driver's compartment of a motor vehicle and transport elements. The inventive structural support (26) comprises an outer profile-section component (25) and an inner profile-section component (22). Said profile-section components are joined to each other by fixing means that are preferably adhesive. The outer profile-section component (25) is made out of metal, preferably aluminium and the inner profile-section (22) is made of plastic, especially fibre-reinforced plastic. The cross-sectional structure of a profile-section component (25) can vary within said structural support (26).

Support (26) de structure pour châssis ou châssis façon treillis d'habitacles de véhicules et d'éléments de transport, qui comporte une partie profilée externe (25) et une partie profilée interne (22), ces deux parties profilées étant reliées entre elles par des moyens de fixation, de préférence par collage. La partie profilée externe (25) est en métal, de préférence en aluminium, et la partie profilée interne (22) est en plastique, de préférence en plastique renforcé par des fibres. La structure de la section transversale d'une partie profilée (22) peut varier à l'intérieur du support de structure.
