ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of apparatus facilitating the method for the construction of wooden structures such as work benches, picnic tables, sheds and the like. A cardboard template having a plurality of patterns printed thereon is utilized to cut stock-sized lumber to the size angles, shape with appropriate holes and notches to be assembled into the desired structure. In a preferred embodiment, the template is a planar sheet of cardboard with a plurality of patterns printed thereon with each of the patterns being partially served from an adjacent pattern. In the invention method, the patterns are separated and placed over stock-sized lumber as an aid in cutting the appropriate sized lumber to form the parts of the desired structure.
