A quick connect and disconnect device for attaching and detaching an arm (30) of an electrical fixture with a base (22) of the electrical fixture is provided. The device includes a first connection plug (24) attached to the base (22) of the electrical fixture. The first connection plug (22) has an electrical receptacle (42) disposed therein. The device also includes a second connection plug (36) attached to the arm (30) of the electrical fixture. The second connection plug (36) has an electrical protrusion (32) extending therefrom. The electrical protrusion (32) is dimensioned and configured for insertion into the electrical receptacle (42). Furthermore, the device includes a cap (52) positionable about the first and second connection plugs (24, 36) to thereby attach the arm (30) of the electrical fixture to the base (22).

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de fixer et de détacher rapidement un bras d'un luminaire de sa base. Ce dispositif comprend une première prise de connexion attachée à la base dudit luminaire. La première prise de connexion comporte un réceptacle électrique. Le dispositif présente également une seconde prise de connexion attachée au bras du luminaire. La seconde prise de connexion comporte une protubérance électrique s'étendant de ladite prise. Cette protubérance électrique est dimensionnée et conçue pour être introduite dans le réceptacle électrique. En outre, le dispositif comprend un couvercle pouvant être placé autour des première et seconde prises de connexion, de manière à fixer le bras du luminaire sur la base.
