ABSTRACT The invention refers to a structure for shielding ra- dioactive radiation, the structure having first and second sides, the radioactive radiation (R) striking the structure on the first side, the structure comprising at least three structural layers (1, 3, 5, 11), wherein each of the first two structural layers, taken in sequence from the first side toward the second side, comprises an element which converts at least a part of a first kind of radioactive radiation in- to a second kind thereof, and it comprises at least two ti- tanium structural layers (1) and a middle part arranged be- tween the titanium structural layers (1), wherein one of the titanium structural layers (1) constitutes the first side and the middle part includes at least one intermediate structural layer (5) made of beryllium and/or magnesium.
