A structure for supporting a damper of an industrial vehicle. The damper is supported by a multi-directional pivot joint such that excessive force is not applied to the joint. The pivoting amount of the damper about its longitudinal axis is restricted. The supporting structure includes a connecting pin and a bearing. The connecting pin is supported by a bracket, which is fixed to a body frame. The damper includes a coupler, which houses the pivot joint. A stopper is provided on the outer surface of one side of the coupler to restrict the pivoting amount of damper. The stopper extends in the axial direction of the coupler and is formed integrally with the coupler. -19-
