2122441 9311371 PCTABS00022 A structureborne noise isolator employs a two axis system whereby a noise generating platform is coupled to an inner frame (13) by a first pair of diametrically positioned noise isolators (14a, 14b), the inner frame (13) being coupled to an outer frame by a second pair of diametrically positioned noise isolators (18a, 18b). At least one noise isolator comprises a coil spring shrink fitted at one end to an inner housing (13) and at the other end to a cover. The inner housing (13) is inserted into an outer housing (17) with a damping compound between and potted to the inner and outer housings (13, 17). Additional damping compound is bonded to the base of the outer housing (17) separating the base of the outer housing (17) from the base of the inner housing (13). The cover, having damping compound bonded thereto, is coupled to the outer housing. A hub, positioned adjacent to the damping compound on the cover, is coupled to the inner housing.
