My invention is called the 'Stuck-Out' and is used in the event that a vehicle gets stuck in the snow, ice or mud. It is a traction device which is unlike any other as it does not go around a tire but connects to the portion of the tire that extends above the snow or mud. It is secured along the center line of the tire with a 'claw' type of hook connected to each side of the wheel with a center clamping devise to fasten the 'claws' to the tire. Each hook is comprised on an inner surface which is in contact with the tire with traction elements facing the outside. Traction devices' would be designed for both snow and mud. A snow application would call for a series of cleats or sharpened bars where a mud design would be more of a series of paddles. The entire device is of a narrow design such that it can be clamped onto the tire along the center line. It must be noted that the tire must have approximately 3 inches on both sides of the center line in order to attach the 'Stuck-Out'. Once installed the vehicle can simply 'walk' its way out then the reusable devise can be simply removed by a quick clamp devise.
