The invention concerns a submersible heavy lift barge, comprising: at least one floating body (2, 3); an essentially rectangular deck box (4) arranged on and carried by the at least one floating body; at each corner of the deck box a stability tower (5, 6, 7); water ballast tanks arranged in the at least one floating body and/or in the stability towers; one or more ballast water pumps and/or compressors for ballasting or deballasting the water ballast tanks. The barge comprises two or more of said floating bodies which extend in the longitudinal direction of the barge, are spaced with respect to each other in the transverse direction of the barge to have an interspace (18) in between and are arranged symmetrically with respect to the central longitudinal axis (11) of the barge, the interspace being open in the forward and afterward direction.

L'invention concerne une barge de levage de submersible lourd, comprenant au moins un corps flottant (2, 3); un coffre de pont (4) essentiellement rectangulaire agencé sur ledit corps flottant et porté par celui-ci; une tour de stabilité (5, 6, 7) placée à chaque coin du coffre de pont; des réservoirs-ballast à eau placés dans le corps flottant et/ou dans les tours de stabilité; au moins une pompe de ballast et/ou des compresseurs permettant le ballastage ou le déballastage des réservoirs-ballast à eau. La barge comprend au moins deux corps flottants qui s'étendent dans le sens longitudinal de ladite barge, espacés l'un de l'autre dans le sens transversal de cette barge de façon à créer un espace (18) entre eux, et agencés symétriquement par rapport à l'axe central longitudinal (11) de la barge, ledit espace étant ouvert dans les sens avant et arrière.
