The invention relates to an energy generating system for obtaining electrical energy from a water flow, comprising: - a rotating unit (20) having a water turbine (1); a directly driven electrical generator (9) having a coaxial arrangement of generator rotor (6.1) and generator stator (6.2); - a gondola housing (15) having a housing part (10) forming a cylindrical inner opening in which the generator stator (6.2) is disposed; a support element (3) as part of the rotating unit (20) disposed coaxially and radially within the inner opening (16) and supporting the generator rotor (6.1); a bearing arrangement at the outlet of the support element (3) in the inner opening (16), having bearing components (5.1, 5.2) mounted radially inside the inner opening (16) or radially outside on the support element (3) and/or designed on a wall region of the inner opening (16) or the support element (3); wherein the intermediate region between the support element (3) and the inner opening (16) is flooded and the support element (3) comprises a lift volume (22) generating a lift force in the submerged state at least partially compensating for the weight force of the rotating unit (20).

La zone intermédiaire entre l'élément de soutien (3) et l'ouverture intérieure (16) est noyée, et l'élément de soutien (3) comprend un volume de poussée (22) qui, dans l'état immergé, produit une poussée qui compense au moins pour partie la force massique de l'unité rotative (20).
