The invention relates to a submersible pump assembly which comprises a housing (12) filled with lubricating fluid. In said housing, a first shaft (14, 102, 120) is mounted on bearings which has a first surface area (15), a first end area (81) and an opposite second end area (134). In the housing (12), a second shaft (16), which is in alignment with the first shaft (14, 102, 120), is mounted on bearings. The second shaft has a second surface area (17), a third end area (132) facing the second end area (143) and an opposite fourth end area (163). In order to improve lubrication of the parts of the transmission which are susceptible to wear and to improve removal of the heat caused by friction losses, each shaft (14, 16) contains a longitudinal duct (80, 107, 121, 160) which is connected in the corresponding end areas (81, 132, 134, 163) to the pertaining surface areas (15, 17) via fluid ducts (82, 136 or 136, 162). A pump assembly (60, 62, 156, 158) is provided for pumping the fluid along the surface areas (15, 17) and through the longitudinal ducts (80, 107, 121, 160).

Selon l'invention, dans un carter (12) rempli de fluide lubrifiant il est prévu un premier arbre (14, 102, 120) présentant une première surface extérieure (15), une première zone terminale (81) et une deuxième zone terminale (134) opposée. Dans ledit carter (12), il est également prévu un second arbre (16), monté en alignement avec le premier arbre (14, 102, 120). Le second arbre comporte une surface extérieure (17), une troisième zone terminale (132) opposée à la deuxième zone terminale (134) et une quatrième zone terminale (163) opposée. Afin d'améliorer à la fois la lubrification des parties du mécanisme exposées à l'usure et le dégagement de la chaleur propre aux pertes de charge, les deux arbres (14, 16) contiennent chacun une conduite allongée (80, 107, 121, 160), lesdites conduites allongées étant reliées dans les zones terminales (81, 132, 134, 163) correspondantes à la surface extérieure (15, 17) correspondante par des conduites fluidiques (82, 136 et 136, 162). Il est prévu un système de pompage (60, 62, 156, 158) pour refouler le fluide lubrifiant le long des surfaces extérieures (15, 17) et à travers les conduites allongées (80, 107, 121, 160).
