There is disclosed a subscriber line interface circuit in a packet switched network capable of reducing S/N ratio by analog/digital conversion of an input signal with a single arrangement. Voice signals are transmitted and received as analog signals between line terminal circuits and voice signal processing circuits each constituting a subscriber circuit. In the voice signal processing circuits, packet assembly and dis- assembly, voice signal processing and line terminal circuit control are carried out in synchronism with the packet communica- tion network.
