ABSTRACT: A line looping circuit which is connected between the wires of a subscriber's line via the hook contact and in parallel with further equipment of a subscriber's set. The circuit comprises the series arrangement of the main current path of a field effect transistor and a resistor, the gate of the field effect transistor being connected to the remote end of the resistor. The circuit has a low resistance for small currents, i.e. low positive voltage between two terminals and a high resistance to high cur- rents, i.e. high positive voltage between the terminals. Further embodiments are described which are not sensitive to the polarity of the voltage between the subscriber's wires.
