ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE . - A remotely controlled subsea digging system is disclosed, which comprises a rotatable crane- like lattice structure capable of being sunk from a barge and has a central supporting member to permit rotation of such a cranelike structure about a vertical axis, buoyancy-adjusting means mounted centrally on said structure, a watertight enclosure for housing the control machinery, motive means for axially rotating said structure about its vertical axis, digging means traveling radially from the centre to the periphery of such a structure, motive means for radially displacing and actuating said digging means, and cable means for connecting said watertight enclosure with a support barge on the surface and for lifting and sinking said structure and the machinery associated therewith.
