Abstract An improved subsoil plow assembly to be attached to an implement frame employs a soil-splitting leading edge of arcuate cuspate shape, breaking the earth but inhibiting the mixing of the subsoil With the topsoil. That portion below the cuspal apex tends to split away and sidewardly while the portions above the apex axe directed upwardly. The plow is preferably comprised of laminate construction providing strength and particular suitability for forming a channel therein directing passage of gaseous or liquid fertilizer into the soil. An alternate embodiment includes a pocket on the leading edge accepting removable and replaceable cuspal in- serts useful in differing soil conditions.
