The enol tautomer of 3-indolylpyruvic acid in stable and pure form, as well as alkali and alkali-earth salts thereof are produced by synthesis process. The enol tautomer comprises only the geometric isomer (Z) and it is the only one tautomeric form having relevant pharmacological effects. The compounds obtained exhibited relevant biochemical and pharmacological properties in pathological situations like anxiety, depression, behaviour disturbances, neuronal degenerations, etc.

Le tautomère énolique de l'acide 3-indolylpyruvique sous forme stable et pure ainsi que des sels alcalins et alcalino-terreux de ce tautomère sont produits par un procédé de synthèse. Ce tautomère énolique comprend uniquement l'isomère géométrique (Z) et il constitue la seule forme tautomère ayant des effets pharmacologiques pertinents. Les composés ainsi obtenus possèdent des propriétés biochimiques et pharmacologiques pertinentes dans des situations pathologiques telles que notamment l'anxiété, la dépression, les troubles du comportement et les dégénérescences neuronales.
