ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Substituted 2H-pyran-2,6(3H)-dione derivatives, pharmaceutical compositions comprising such derivatives and methods of inhibiting the antigen-antibody reaction by admin- istering said compositions. The active ingredients are the products formed by the reaction of acetonedicarboxylic acid with acetic anhydride followed by reaction with an appropriate amine. Certain of the dione derivatives are novel compounds per se.
