Abstract of the Disclosure Novel substituted 3-phenyl-7H-thiazolo[3,2-b][1,2,4]- triazin-7-ones of the general formula I Image (I) in which R1 denotes a straight-chain or branched alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, hydroxymethyl or an amino-methyl group of the formula II Image (II) and R2, R3, R4 and R5 are defined herein, and the physiologically acceptable acid-addition salts of the compounds having the structural element of the formula II in the positions of R1 and/or R3 are prepared by processes of the invention. Compound I has the structural element of the formula II as indicated and is suitable for prevention and treatment of inflammatory disorders. Novel intermediates i.e. S-alkylated 2H-1,2,4-triazin-5-ones of the formula V (V) Image and 2-amino-6H-1,3,4-thiadiazines of the formula VI Image (VI) are disclosed.
