ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Compounds of formula (I): Image (I) wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, a C1-6 alkyl group optionally substituted by a hydroxy group, a C1-6 alkoxy or alkanoyloxy group, a C2-6 alkoxycarbonyl group or a hydroxy, nitro, amino, carboxy, cyano or aminosulphonyl group, or provided that they are attached to adjacent carbon atoms R1 and R2, together with the carbon atoms to which they are attached, represent a phenyl group, and their physiological- ly acceptable acid addition salts, exhibit anti-allergic activity. A process for the preparation of these compounds is also described.
