ABSTRACT The substituted isoquinoline derivatives of the formula Image I wherein R is lower alkoxy, n is the integer zero or 1 and A is one of the groups < Image (a), (b), (c), (d), (e), Image (f), (g), wherein R1 is phenyl, halophenyl, lower-alkylphenyl or lower-alkoxyphenyl, and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof can be used in the treatment and control of cere- brovascular disorders and hypertension. They can be pre- pared according to methods known per se.
