A class of substituted oxazolyl compounds is described for use in treating inflammation and inflammation-related disorders. Compounds of par- ticular interest are defined by formula (I) wherein R is selected from alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, haloalkyl, cy- cloalkyl, cycloalkylalkyl, aryl optionally substituted at a substitutable position by carboxy, alkyl, alkoxy and halo, aralkyl optionally substituted at a substi- tutable position on the aryl radical by carboxy, alkyl, alkoxy and halo, aryloxyalkyl optionally substituted at a substitutable position on the aryl radical with halo, carboxy, alkyl and alkoxy, aralkoxyalkyl optionally substituted at a substitutable position by alkyl, carboxy, alkoxy and halo, het- eroaryloxyalkyl optionally substituted at a substitutable position with halo, carboxy, alkyl and alkoxy, alkoxycarbonylalkyl, carboxyalkyl and aminocarbonylalkyl; wherein R1 is selected from cycloalkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroaryl and aryl optionally substituted at a substitutable position by alkyl, alkoxy and halo, and wherein R2 is alkyl; or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof; provided R1 is not phenyl when R2 is methyl and R is isopropyl or tert-butyl.
On décrit une classe de composés substitués oxazolyle pour le traitement d'inflammations et de désordres liés aux inflammations. Les composés de la formule (I) sont d'un intérêt tout particulier. Dans cette formule, R est choisi parmi les groupes: alkyle, hydroxyalkyle, haloalkyle, cycloalkyle, cycloalkylalkyle, aryle (éventuellement substitué en une position où une substitution est possible par un groupe carboxy, alkyle, alcoxy et halo), aralkyle (éventuellement substitué en une position où une substitution est possible sur le radical aryle par un carboxy, alkyle, alcoxy ou halo), aryloxyalkyle (éventuellement substitué en une position où cette substitution est possible sur le groupe aryle par halo, carboxy, alkyle et alcoxy), aralcoxyalkyle (éventuellement substitué en une position où cette substitution est possible par un alkyle, carboxy, alcoxy et halo), hétéroaryloxyalkyle (éventuellement substitué en une position où cette substitution est possible par un halo, carboxy, alkyle ou alcoxy), alcoxycarbonylalkyle, carboxyalkyle et aminocarbonylalkyle; R<1> est choisi parmi les groupes: cycloalkyle, cycloalcényle, hétéroaryle et aryle (éventuellement substitué en une position où cette substitution est possible par un alkyle, un alcoxy ou un halo) et R<2> est un alkyle. L'invention concerne également les sels de ces composés acceptables sur le plan pharmaceutique. Une condition à satisfaire est que R<1> ne soit pas un phényle lorsque R<2> est un méthyle et R est un isopropyle ou un tert-butyle.
