RAN 4020/30 ABSTRACT "SUBSTITUTED PHENOXY-AMINOPROPANOL DERIVATIVES" This invention provides compounds of the formula Image wherein R represents a branched-chain alkyl group containing 3 or 4 carbon atoms, R1 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a lower alkyl group and R2 and R3 each represent a hydrogen or halogen atom or a lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkyl- thio group, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, a process for their manufacture and pharmaceutical preparations containing them. The aforementioned compounds and salts possess cardioselektive .beta.-adrenergic blocking activity and antihypertensive activity.
