Abstract of the Disclosure The invention is compounds of formula I: Image (I) wherein n is 1 or 2; the or each R, which may be the same or different, is hydrogen; halogen; hydroxy; C1-C6alkoxy; -NO2; Image , wherein R5 and R6 are, independently, hydrogen or C1-C6alkyl, or two adjacent R groups, taken to- gether, form the -O-CH2-O- radical; R1 is hydrogen halogen or lower alkoxy; R2 is hydrogen or C1-C12alkyl; each of the groups R3 and R4, which may be identical or different, is hydrogen or C1-C6alkyl; or R2 and R4, taken to- gether, form the -CH2-CH2- radical. The compounds are useful for their effect on the central nervous system, particularly their anti-depressant effect.
