ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel triaryl thiazole compounds of formula (I) Image (I) wherein X is hydrogen, bromo, chloro or fluoro, are prepared by a process which comprises reacting in an organic solvent at temperature ranges from about 20°C. to about 150°C. a thiobenzamide of formula (II) Image (II) wherein X is defined the same as above, with a dimethoxy substituted benzoin of formula (III) Image (III) wherein R is hydroxy or chlorine, provided that when R is hydroxy, the reaction takes place in the presence of an acid catalyst. These novel compounds are useful as analgesic agents.
