Compounds of formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and are each optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substitued cycloalkyl, optionally subsituted aryl or optianally substituted heteroaryl groups; R3 is hydrogen or an aryl group substituent or R3 is a solid support optionally attached via a spacer; Z represents an oxygen atom, a sulphur atom or NR4; Y represents an oxygen atom, a sulphur atom or NR5; in which R4 and R5, which may be the same or different, represent hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted benzyl or optionally substituted .beta.-phenylethyl; and one of X1 and X2 represents a nitrogen atom and the other of X1 and X2 represents a nitrogen atom or CR6, in which R6 represents hydrogen or an aryl group substituent; are useful for the affinity binding of a prion protein.
L'invention concerne des composés représentés par la formule (I), dans laquelle R1 et R2 peuvent être identiques ou différents, et sont chacun un groupe alkyle éventuellement substitué, un groupe cycloalkyle éventuellement substitué, un groupe aryle éventuellement substitué, ou un groupe hétéroaryle éventuellement substitué, R3 représente hydrogène ou un substituant d'un groupe aryle, ou R3 représente un support solide éventuellement fixé par l'intermédiaire d'un espaceur, Z représente un atome d'oxygène, un atome de soufre ou NR4; Y représente un atome d'oxygène, un atome de soufre ou NR5; R4 et R5, qui peuvent être identiques ou différents, représentent hydrogène, alkyle éventuellement substitué contenant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, phényle éventuellement substitué, benzyle éventuellement substitué ou .beta.-phényléthyle éventuellement substitué; et l'un de X1 ou X2 représente un atome d'azote, et l'autre X1 ou X2 représente un atome d'azote ou CR6, dans lequel R6 représente hydrogène ou un substituant d'un groupe aryle, ces composés pouvant servir à la liaison par affinité d'une protéine prion.
