Disclosed herein are substituted vinylurea derivatives represented by the following general formula (1): Image (1) wherein R1 and R3 are independently a phenyl group which may be substituted, R2 is a phenyl group which may be substituted, or a cycloalkyl group, and wave lines mean that the bonding state may be either E or Z, with the proviso that the cases where R1, R2 and R3 are unsubstituted phenyl groups, and where R1 and R2 are unsubstituted phenyl groups and R3 is a 4-ethoxyphenyl group are excluded, or salt thereof, and medicines comprising such a derivative as an active ingredient as well as a method of preventing and treating arteriosclerosis with such a medicine. The derivatives or salts thereof selectively and strongly inhibit ACAT in macrophages and are hence useful as prophylactic and therapeutic agents for arteriosclerosis.
On divulgue ici des dérivés substitués de vinylurée représentés par la formule générale suivante (1) : Image (1) où R1 et R3 sont, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, un groupe phényle qui peut être substitué, R2 est un groupe phényle qui peut être substitué ou un groupe cycloalkyle, et les lignes ondulées indiquent que l'état de liaison peut être soit E soit Z, à la condition que soient exclus les cas où R1, R2 et R3 sont des groupes phényle non substitués, et où R1 et R2 sont des groupes phényle non substitués et R3 est un groupe 4-éthoxyphényle, ou un sel de ces derniers, et des médicaments comprenant de tels dérivés comme ingrédient actif ainsi qu'une méthode pour prévenir et traiter l'artériosclérose avec un tel médicament. Les dérivés ou sels de ces derniers inhibent sélectivement et fortement l'ACAT dans les macrophages et, par conséquent, sont utiles comme agents prophylactiques et thérapeutiques de l'artériosclérose.
