It has been discovered that using n-butylmethyldimethoxysilane (BMDS) as an external electron donor for succinate- containing Ziegler-Natta catalysts can provide a catalyst system that may prepare polypropylene films with improved properties. The catalyst systems of the invention provide for controlled chain defects/defect distribution and thus a regulated microtacticity along with broadened molecular weight distribution.
L'invention concerne l'utilisation de n-butylméthyldiméthoxysilane (BMDS) en tant que donneur d'électrons externe pour catalyseurs de Ziegler-Natta contenant du succinate, pouvant engendrer un système de catalyseur qui permet de préparer des films de polypropylène aux propriétés améliorées. Les systèmes de catalyseur selon la présente invention pourvoient à une distribution des défauts/des défauts de chaîne contrôlés, et donc une microtacticité régulée ainsi qu'à une répartition de poids moléculaire élargie.
