ABSTRACT Chip type circuit elements are mounted at predetermined positions on a printed circuit board by a suction means. The suction means sucks up each circuit element stacked in a vertically held magazine and transfers and posi- tions the same uniformly at the predetermined positions on a printed circuit board which has a predetermined pattern of laminar conductors on the upper sur- face thereof. This method and apparatus can accurately mount chip type circuit elements on the printed circuit board.
