The present invention is directed to a sugar-chain--recognizing antibody which belongs to the IgM isotype and which recognizes Gg4Cer(Ga~.beta.1-3Ga~NAc.beta.1-4Ga~.beta.1-4G~.c.beta.Cer) or GM2 which appears on HIV infected cells, as well as to a therapeutics for HIV diseases containing those IgMs.
