Case: 6002 SULFURIZED OLEFIN POLYMERS SOLUBLE IN POLYALPHAOLEFIN LUBRICANT OILS Abstract Chlorine free, sulfurized olefins are prepared by reacting an aliphatic monoolefin having 4 to 12 carbon atoms with elemental sulfur to form a sulfur-linked tertiary olefin containing intermediate and then treating the intermediate with aqueous alkali metal sulfide to provide a polyalphaolefin oil soluble product.
