The present invention relates to new sulphonamide derivatives, with the general formula (I), as well as to their physiologically acceptable salts, the processes for their preparation, their application as medicaments in human and/or veterinary therapy and the pharmaceutical compositions that contain them, (see formula I) The new sulphonamide derivatives and salts thereof may be used for preventing or treating a disorder mediated by serotonin 5-HT6 receptor in a mammal, for example, anxiety, depression, a dementia where a cognition deficit is predominant, psychosis or infantile hyperkinesia.
