The invention relates to sulphonated polyimides, in particular of formula (I). The invention also features an ion-exchanger membrane containing such a polyimide and a fuel cell containing such a membrane. The membranes of the invention have excellent durability and low cost and the fuel cells can be used particularly in electric vehicles.
