A B S T R A C T SULPHUR PROCESS In the removal of H2S and optionally C02 FROM a gas by contacting with a reactant solution containing the Fe(III). chelate of nitilotriacetic acid with formation of solid sulphur and the Fe(II) chelate of nitrilotriacetic acid, the presence of an alkenol having 4 to 22 carbon atoms per molecule increases. the crystal size of the sulphur. The solution may contain an absorbent selective for C02.
