In a safety visor for a vehicle having a windshield comprising: a visor of semi-transparent material for reducing glare through the windshield, a universal joint permitting movement of the visor about the windshield from a storage position where the visor permits unobstructed viewing through the windshield to a safety position between a vertical position to reduce glare along a vertical portion of said windshield to a horizontal position to reduce glare along a horizontal portion of the windshield.
