18 Abstract of the disclosure: A sun visor extension adapted to be slidably mounted over a standard visor of a motor vehicle for increasing the coverage area and minimizing glare across the windshield of the motor vehicle. The sun visor extension has a substantially parallepiped shaped hollow sleeve made up of a front panel and a rear panel, both panels being linked by longitudinal side panels. A biasing block is fixed to the inner surface of one of the side panels. The biasing block is compressible between an uncompressed configuration and a compressed configuration. In the uncompressed configuration, the block functionnally prevents relative displacement between the sleeve and the standard sun visor, while with compressed configuration the block allows such displacement. A biasing element biases the block towards its uncompressed configuration.
