This is a braided tubular structure made up of a plurality of interwoven fibrous members, preferably ribbons, a majority of which comprise one or more superelastic and (at least) ternary alloys of nickel, titanium, and at least about 1.5% (wt) of one or more alloying members selected from the group consisting of vanadiuml chromium, manganese, iron, and cobalt.
