A superconducting rotating machine having a cylindrical frame, and a stator installed integrally around an inner periphery of the cylindrical frame. The stator has a plurality of permanent magnet rings stacked longitudinally around an inner periphery of the cylindrical frame. Each permanent magnet ring includes three arcuate shaped permanent magnets and a pair of end disks provided at each end of said cylindrical frame. A stator coil is provided around the inner surface of the cylindrical stator and has a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil has extra fine Cu filaments and the secondary coil contains extra fine filaments made of a superconducting alloy. A rotor is arranged concentrically and rotatably within said stator in juxtaposed spaced relationship to the inner surface of the stator. The rotor includes a non-magnetic shaft and a cylindrical non-magnetic holder provided integrally around the non-magnetic shaft. The rotor having a plurality of permanent magnet rings stacked longitudinally around the non-magnetic shaft. Each ring has a pair of arcuate shaped or half ring-shaped permanent magnets, and a pair of non-magnetic end disks provided at both end portions. A pair of non-magnetic disk end covers are provided integrally at both end portions of the stator frame with a bearing fitted into a cylindrical cavity formed at a central inner portion thereof. An auxiliary motor is provided integrally at one end portion of the rotatable shaft.

L'invention est une machine tournante supraconductrice comportant un châssis cylindrique et un stator intégré à la périphérie interne de ce châssis. Ce stator porte une pluralité d'anneaux à aimants permanents montés longitudinalement sur la périphérie interne du châssis. Chacun de ces anneaux comprend trois aimants permanents arqués et une paire de disques terminaux montée à chaque extrémité du châssis. La face interne du stator cylindrique porte un enroulement statorique constitué d'un enroulement primaire et d'un enroulement secondaire. L'enroulement primaire est fait de fils de cuivre extra-fins et l'enroulement secondaire contient des fils extra-fins d'alliages supraconducteurs. Un rotor est monté de façon concentrique dans ce stator avec un espacement par rapport à la face interne de ce dernier. Ce rotor comprend un arbre non magnétique entouré d'un support cylindrique non magnétique. Il porte une pluralité d'anneaux à aimants permanents montés longitudinalement autour de l'arbre non magnétique. Chacun de ces anneaux contient une paire d'aimants permanents arqués ou en demi-anneau, et une paire de disques terminaux non magnétiques à ses deux extrémités. Une paire de calottes de disque non magnétiques est intégrée à chacune des extrémités du châssis statorique au moyen d'un palier qui pénètre dans une cavité cylindrique formée au centre du châssis. Un moteur auxiliaire est intégré à l'une des extrémités de l'arbre.
