The invention relates to a supraconductive hollow cable and to a method for the production thereof. Said supraconductive hollow cable (1) comprises an outer tube (2) having a circular inner cross-section and a cylindrical inner wall (3). The inventive supraconductive hollow cable (1) also comprises a central cooling channel (4) having a polygonal or circular cross-section that is, however, smaller than the inner cross-section of the outer tube (2). Profiled supraconductive wires (5) are arranged between the outer tube (2) and the cooling channel (4). Said profiled supraconductive wires (5) have a cross- sectional profile corresponding to that of a keystone such as those used to build roman stone bridges or groined vaults. Furthermore, said cross-sectional profile comprises at least one outer curved section (7) and one inner section (8), said outer curved section (7) being adapted to the inner radius of the outer tube (2), and the inner section (8) being adapted to the cooling channel (4). The lateral edges (12, 13) can either be profiled in a linear manner in the direction of the central point (11) of the cooling channel (4) or staggered in relation to said linearity.
L'invention concerne un câble creux supraconducteur, et son procédé de production. Ce câble creux supraconducteur (1) comprend un tube extérieur (2) présentant une section transversale interne circulaire et une paroi interne cylindrique (3). Ledit câble creux supraconducteur (1) comprend également un canal de refroidissement central (4) présentant une section transversale polygonale ou circulaire, mais plus petite que la section transversale interne du tube extérieur (2). Des fils métalliques supraconducteurs profilés (5) sont disposés entre le tube extérieur (2) et le canal de refroidissement (4). Ces fils métalliques supraconducteurs profilés (5) présentent un profil en section transversale qui correspond à celui d'une clé de voûte telle que celles utilisées pour construire les ponts de pierre romains ou les voûtes d'ogive. En outre, ledit profil en section transversale comprend au moins une section courbe externe (7) et une section interne (8), ladite section courbe externe (7) étant adaptée au rayon interne du tube extérieur (2), et la section interne (8) étant adaptée au canal de refroidissement (4). Par ailleurs, les arêtes latérales (12, 13) peuvent être profilées soit de manière linéaire en direction du centre (11) du canal de refroidissement (4), soit de manière décalée par rapport à cette linéarité.
