ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described a self contained thermal energy pack which is manually triggerable. The pack has a flexible enclosure containing therein material exhibiting the properties or remaining in a liquid state until triggered to begin crystallization. The enclosure also contains a trigger means of metal such as a ferrous metal, stainless steel, or titanium, and which comprises a close turn helical metallic spring having sufficient stiffness to maintain its shape and sufficient resiliency to allow bending by the application of manual pressure to spaced portions along its length through the flexible container.
