A liner for a Mig or wire welding gun is a consumable round tube or coil shaped extension spring inserted inside a Mig Welding gun designed to stop the wear of the expensive Mig Welding gun while simultaneously reducing the friction or drag of the Mig Welding consumable wire as it passes through the Mig Welding gun. The first 3 to C6 feet of the Mig welding liner is normally encapsulated in a shrink-wrap plastic coating to help direct the flow of the Mig Welding shielding gas. There are several different inside diameter shapes and materials of liner surface that the Mig Welding wire rides on in an attempt to facilitate these requirements but they are all closed tube extension coil spring shape. All types of continuous wire welding applications will benefit from this invention.
