ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A supplemental cover for and method of reinforcing a book with a spine, a first cover and a second cover is disclosed. The supplemental cover comprises a first sheet and a second sheet. The first sheet is stiff throughout. The second sheet comprises a flexible region and a stiff region. Both sheets are provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side. A first liner is removably adhered to a portion of the adhesive side of the first sheet and a second liner is removably adhered to the remainder of the adhesive side of the first sheet. A third liner is removably adhered to the adhesive side of the flexible region of the second sheet. A fourth liner is remov- ably adhered to the adhesive side of the stiff region of the second sheet. The first liner is removed from the first sheet and the thereby exposed portion of the sheet is adhered to the first cover of the book. The second liner is removed from the first sheet, and the thereby exposed remainder of the first sheet is ad- hered to the first cover of the book. The third liner is removed from the second sheet and the thereby exposed flexible region is adhered to the spine of the book and the first sheet. The fourth liner is removed from the second sheet and the thereby exposed stiff region is adhered to the second cover of the book.
