A method for integration of the institutional supply chain for medical products utilizing a nested bill of materials on a care event level of a clinical pathway for one or more medical procedures (34, 36, 38, 40). The medical supplies appropriate for use in a care event are expressed as a bill of materials. Each item of medical supply is assigned a unique identifier which includes at least identification of the item itself, identification of the supplier of the item, and identification of the care event with which the item is to be used. At a first location a portion of the supplies are unitized and containerized (58, 60). This subassembly is transported to a second and remote location (44) where further of the supplies are unitized and containerized (64), using the same container (60). Thereafter the unitized and containerized supplies are transported to the end user (46) thereof.

Cette invention concerne un procédé d'intégration de la chaîne d'approvisionnement des établissements de santé en fournitures médicales. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser des listes à niveaux emboîtés de fournitures associées à niveau de soin donné d'une voie clinique, lesdites listes servant à une ou plusieurs procédures médicales (34, 36, 38, 40). Les fournitures médicales nécessaires à un soin sont répertoriées dans une liste de fournitures. On affecte à chacune des fournitures un identificateur unique qui contient au minimum l'identification de l'article même, l'identification du fournisseur de cet article, et l'identification du soin concerné par cet article. En un premier emplacement, on procède à l'unitarisation des fournitures et à leur mise en conteneur (58, 60). Le sous-ensemble obtenu est transporté vers un second emplacement éloigné (44) où l'on procède à l'unitarisation d'autres fournitures et à leur mise en conteneur (64), à l'intérieur du conteneur utilisé précédemment (60). Par la suite, les fournitures qui ont été regroupées en unités et mises en conteneur sont transportées vers l'utilisateur final (46) de ces fournitures.
