ABSTRACT A support bracket for use with a sawhorse, picnic table, workbench or similar standing device is defined by a housing with first, second and third sockets, and a rail slot. The first and second sockets are positioned so as to receive a pair of legs for the standing device, those legs when fitted to the device extending at an acute angle to each other. The rail slot is positioned such that a rail fitted in the slot extends normal to the plane defined by the pair of legs. The third socket is positioned such that a leg fitted in that socket sits in the plane of the pair of legs and bisects the angle between the pair of legs. When the support bracket is in use for supporting a rail in a position generally parallel to and off the ground, a leg fitted in the third socket extends generally normal to the ground and under the rail.
