ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A load bearing support for supporting beams, grids and diaphragms, comprises a head, a saddle, and a column. The saddle comprises height adjustment means, and moment coupling means, purposed to be arranged substantially symmetrically about and substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the column. The height adjustment means comprise a plurality of rods threadably engageable with the head. The moment coupling means comprise an unthreaded central member located between the rods and slidably engageable with the head.
