Abstract A support for a cutting tool for cutting hard material comprises a machine-oriented member (10) and a tool- oriented member (11). A projecting portion (13) on the machine-oriented member (10) is adapted to be received in a recess (16) in the tool-oriented member (11). The two members (10,11) are adapted to be secured to each other by wedge action between cooperating conical sur- faces (14,15;17,18) on the projecting portion (13) and in the recess (16). (Fig. 1)
