An implantable medical device and methods of use thereof are provided for supporting a structure. The structure supported can include a bony structure. The device can include a support having a top portion, a bottom portion having a bottom surface and one or more apertures passing therethrough. The bottom surface of the support can include a receiver configured to receive a plurality of anchor assemblies of one or multiple types. Each of the anchor assemblies can include a means for locking the anchor assembly to the support element, and a base having a head and a means for locking the base to the anchor assembly. When assembled, the head of the base for one anchor assembly type may not pass through the support. In contrast, the head of the base for a second anchor assembly type can be passable through the support.

L'invention concerne un dispositif médical implantable et ses méthodes d'utilisation destinés à soutenir une structure. Ladite structure soutenue peut comporter une structure osseuse. Ce dispositif peut aussi comprendre un support pourvu d'une partie supérieure, d'une partie inférieure à surface inférieure et d'au moins une ouverture traversante. Ladite surface inférieure du support peut comporter un dispositif de réception conçu pour recevoir une pluralité d'ensembles d'ancrage d'un ou plusieurs types. Chacun des ensembles d'ancrage peut comporter un dispositif permettant de verrouiller l'ensemble d'ancrage à l'élément de support et une base pourvue d'une tête et d'un dispositif de verrouillage de la base à l'ensemble d'ancrage. Lorsqu'elle est assemblée, ladite tête de la base pour un type d'ensemble d'ancrage peut ne pas traverser le support. Par contre, ladite tête de la base pour un second type d'ensemble d'ancrage peut passer à travers le support.
