- 9 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A support is described for at least one electrical cond- uctor forming part of an electrical apparatus which includes at least one inductive winding, for example a transformer or reactor, which conductor is arranged externally of the wind- ing(s) of the apparatus. The support comprises a channel- section beam, which may be made of pressboard, having two spaced-apart flanges interconnected by a web, the flanges and web defining therebetween an internal beam space having an opening, between the free edges of the flanges, which is dis- posed substantially parallel to the web, in which space the distance between at least part of the inwardly-facing surfaces of the flanges decreases in the direction from the web towards the opening. At least one block, which may also be made of pressboard, is disposed within the internal beam space and has opposed surfaces confronting said parts of the inwardly-facing surfaces of the beam flanges, the or each block being dis- placeable in the internal beam space in the longitudinal dir- ection of the beam. Means is associated with the or each block for locking the latter to the beam in an arbitrary position in the longitudinal direction of the beam.
