A support structure for an appliance comprises a frame having at least one upper appliance support surface and at least one base surface to contact a floor surface above which the appliance is to be supported. The frame has a perimetersubstantially corresponding to the perimeter of the appliance to be supported and a dimension between the at least one appliance support surface and the base surface sufficient to support the appliance above the floor surface so that an individual is not required to bend over significantly to use the appliance.
