A support system for suspending a kitchen appliance from the bottom surface of a kitchen cabinet includes a pair of horizontally spaced mounting brackets connected to the bottom surface of the kitchen cabinet. Each bracket includes a horizontally extending rail member. Each rail member includes a vertically extending finger. The kitchen appliance includes a housing having side walls. Each side wall includes a horizontally extending channel. The channel is defined by top and bottom walls. A horizontally extending slot is formed in the top wall. A rail of one bracket is inserted into a corres- ponding channel, with the finger of the rail extending into the slot formed in the top wall.
