The invention relates to supported metallocene catalyst systems, optionally prepolymerized with olefinic monomer, preferably ethylene or propylene, useful in the polymerization of propylene to isotactic polyproylene. The isotactic polypropylene obtained generally has a molecular weight of about 100000 g/m or greater, a melting point of about 140 °C or greater and granular morphology. The supported catalyst system generally has high catalytic activity, and upon use in a polymerization reactor results in a process with minimal to no reactor fouling, fining, or chunking.
L'invention concerne des systèmes de catalyseur à base d'alliage organométallique sur support éventuellement prépolymérisés à l'aide d'un monomère oléfinique, de préférence de l'éthylène ou du propylène, utile dans la polymérisation du propylène en vue d'obtenir du polypropylène isotactique. Ledit polypropylène isotactique présente une masse moléculaire d'environ 100000 g/m ou plus, un point de fusion d'environ 140 DEG C ou plus, et une morphologie granulaire. Le système de catalyseur à support présente généralement une activité catalytique élevée et, lorsqu'il est utilisé dans un réacteur de polymérisation, participe à un processus générant un faible encrassement du réacteur, une formation réduite de fines et de fragments.
